1. Who we are
Tournza ("we", "us") runs online regional darts events for players in the United Kingdom. Tournza is operated by Jordan Ward, who is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact admin@tournza.co.uk. We are based in the United Kingdom.
2. What we collect
- Details you give us through the join/contact form: your name, email address, region, the reason you're contacting us and any message.
- Your confirmation that you are 18 or over.
- Event registrations and results, and any membership records.
- Fair-play verification you provide for events (for example a camera check and a throw-line photo).
- Payment is handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We receive confirmation of payment but do not collect or store your card details.
3. How we use it and our lawful basis
- To run your membership and event entries — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To verify eligibility and protect fair play — lawful basis: legitimate interests in running fair, secure competition.
- To send you optional updates about events — lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use a small number of processors only to deliver the service: our form provider (Formspree) transmits form submissions to us, and our payment provider (Stripe) processes membership payments. Beyond what these providers handle, your data is stored locally on our own secured device in the UK rather than in a hosted database. We may disclose data if required by law.
5. International transfers
Some providers (such as Formspree and Stripe) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses, as set out in their own terms.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations under applicable UK legislation, after which it is securely deleted. Records tied to payments are retained for the period required by law.
7. How we protect it
Data stored locally is held on a password-protected, encrypted device with access limited to authorised people, and backed up securely. We review access regularly.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email admin@tournza.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9. Cookies
This site is static and does not set tracking cookies by default. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and seek consent where required.
10. Children
Tournza is for players aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from under-18s.
11. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 13 June 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Tournza and entry to our events. By creating a profile, joining, or registering for an event you agree to them. Tournza is operated by Jordan Ward, based in the UK. Contact: admin@tournza.co.uk.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over and provide accurate information. You're responsible for keeping your login and profile details secure.
3. Membership
Membership costs £12 per year, billed through Stripe, and renews annually unless cancelled before the renewal date. Membership covers your verified profile and eligibility to register for events. Each event also carries a £6 buy-in, shown and paid at the point of entry.
4. Events, fees and prizes
We run one tournament per UK region every evening. Each event is capped at 32 players and played as a group round robin followed by a knockout to the final, 501 double-out. The £6 buy-in is paid via Stripe and entry closes at the published check-in time. We may amend, reschedule or cancel an event; if we cancel an event you've paid to enter, we'll refund that buy-in.
5. Fair play and conduct
You agree to play honestly, complete any camera check and throw-line verification we ask for, and follow our fair-play rules. We may disqualify, suspend or remove players for cheating, abuse or breaching these terms, without refund where appropriate.
6. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Except where required by law or stated above, membership fees and event entries are non-refundable once an event has started.
7. Prizes
Prizes are paid to verified winners via Stripe, on the day of winning or within 24 hours. Winners are responsible for any tax on prizes.
8. Liability
Tournza is provided "as is". We don't exclude liability for anything that can't be excluded by law, but to the extent permitted we aren't liable for indirect losses or for issues caused by your equipment or connection.
9. Intellectual property
The Tournza name, logo and site content belong to us and may not be used without permission.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
Fair Play Rules
Tournza runs on trust and a clear camera. These rules keep every regional event fair. By entering an event you agree to follow them.
1. Setup & equipment
- Regulation board: bullseye 1.73 m from the floor; oche (throw line) 2.37 m from the face of the board.
- Upload a throw-line photo before your first event so officials can confirm your distance.
- Use a steel-tip or soft-tip board appropriate to the event listing, in good condition with clear numbers.
2. Camera
- Your webcam must show both the board and your throwing action clearly for the whole match.
- Keep the board well lit and unobstructed. Don't move or re-angle the camera mid-leg.
- Officials may ask for a quick camera/oche recheck at any time.
3. Match play
- 501, double-out. Events are a group round robin into a knockout to the final, capped at 32 players.
- Call your score after each visit; your opponent confirms. Flag any disagreement before throwing again.
- Be checked in and ready before check-in closes (10 minutes before start) or your place may go to a reserve.
4. Conduct
- Respect opponents, officials and other players. Abusive or threatening behaviour isn't tolerated.
- Play your own darts — no coaching, prompts or assistance during a leg.
5. Integrity & anti-cheating
- No score manipulation, editing the feed, or misrepresenting throws.
- We run random checks. Suspected breaches are reviewed against the match recording.
- Confirmed cheating can mean disqualification, forfeiting your buy-in and any prize, and suspension or a ban.
6. Disputes
Raise an issue with the official during the match, or email admin@tournza.co.uk afterwards with your event and the time of the incident. We review the recording where available; the official's final decision stands.
7. Eligibility
Events are for verified members aged 18 or over with a cleared age and camera check. See our Terms and Privacy Policy.
